Magical Realism

In this work-shop we will break all boundaries and rules about what its magic or not in the improv and we will make everything look normal and a day-to-day thing.

We will find a different way to tell stories using a lot of new tools. We can be whatever we want, everything it’s possible!

Politically Incorrect

We will work with the “dark/bad” characters, those that we don’t like that much, those that are evil, mean, liars, thieves, killers...etc. Without judging them.

We will work with the dark side of situations, characters and decisions. When we are pushed to make a bad choice for a good purpose. These characters are very important. We need them to tell the story and we need them to have a hero for the story.

Good doesn’t exist without evil.

 In-To-Me-See

Romantic relationships, love, sex and intimacy are universal themes. We see them in films, theater all the time.

In improv, however, it seems to be different. We rarely see truly romantic love scenes or uncomfortable, awkward, and honest conversations about sex, love, death.

The idea of entering such personal territory scares us. However, opening up about these topics can make our scene much more interesting and richer.

We will create different atmospheres, we will include the viewer in our intimacy without being explicit, we will make the viewer feel like he or she has slipped into an intimate moment of our lives.

In this workshop we will explore the fears around intimacy on stage, build trust and break down barriers. Performing love scenes is a skill like any other and can be learned.

You just need confidence, courage, honesty and the willingness to take risks you have never taken before.
